Gift Me Thursdays
The BID wants to start a promotion for retailers that are still open called “Gift Me Thursdays” The idea is that if you are doing local orders, customers could call in Fridays-Wednesdays and get their deliveries/pickups on Thursdays.
You could take as few or as many orders as you like. We wanted to create a companion to the Takeout Tuesdays that are so popular.
We have found that customers are having a hard time sourcing gifts for birthdays—and there are holidays such as Mother’s Day, Father’s Day and graduations coming up. The large online retailers are no longer delivering reliably and we thought this would be a good showcase for local retail.
If you are a retailer interesting in participating in Gift Me Thursdays we would happily include you in the promotion, just let us know. The only requirement is that you would do local deliveries on Thursdays or arrange for curbside pickup on Thursdays.
